we , Department of orthopaedic surgery ,Govt tiruvannamalai medical college feeling happy for having done a rare surgery for patient mrs seetharani , 23yrs from tribal village pulliyur ,Jamunamarathur under CMCHIS today 04.03.2026

She had a swelling left ankle for two years with sudden increase in size three months duration.Complete diagnostic workup including MRI ankle and biopsy was done here ,diagnosed as Locally Aggressive Giant Cell Tumor Distal Fibula left side .

Wide excision and tenodesis with peroneus brevis tendon was done for her.Postoperatively patient is doing well .

Fits into rare case report will be presented in upcoming TNOACON with follow up.
