CME and Conferences

3rd National pharmacovigilance week was conducted from 19th to 23rd September 2023. Theme-Boosting public confidence in pharmacovigilance .

19th sep -public awareness in the OPD block regarding ADR reporting.
20 th sep -sensitization of pvpi among staff nurses was done,

21st sep -sensitization of pharmacovigilance for school children
22nd September – poster presentation, Skit was done by MBBS Students.

submission of reports were done to pharmacovigilance training center.

Dept of pharmacology conducted pharmaco-vigilance sensitization program among 2nd MBBS Students.

Dean sir & RMO has graced this occasion and encouraged the students.

Students done Role play, poster presentation. Best one was selected and prize distribution was done by our Dean sir to the students.

RECENT UPDATE IN GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICE

The programme was conducted on 8.4.24 at Tiruvannamalai medical college by department of pharmacology from 8.30am to 4.30 p.m. have seven scientific sessions the details of the scientific sessions are:

session 1 is about recent updates on the roles & responsibilities ofiec members &challenges made in the new drug and clinical trial rules 2019,session 2 insist on general principles and concerns regarding IEC&Assent form, needs & challenges in vulnerable populationsession 3-implies onprotocol writing & guidelines for proposal submission,session 4-basic understanding of regulations and regulatory bodies ,session 5-to provide awareness to sponsors and investigators of important responsibilities to adequately conduct clinical trials, session 6 –importance of research, choosing of right journal, publication ethics &session 7 –ethical principles and provision for compensation, ethicalimplications of trial compensation

we conducted poster competition for undergraduate, postgraduate students at national level, for those winners we gave prize distribution for them, we gave national cep certificate accredited by both TN DR MGR MEDICAL UNIVERSITYwith 10 credit points, accredited by TN MEDICAL COUNCILwith 2 credit hours.we also done a pre&posttest evaluation test for the participants.we almost trained almost 180 members about good clinical practice.
