   CME conducted in the dept. of E.N.T on 3rd March 2023 on the occasion of world Hearing Day to bring Hearing awareness among medical and Paramedical students. Hearing Aids distributed to beneficiaries through Dean on the same occasion

CME conducted in the dept. of E.N.T on 3rd March 2024 on the occasion of world Hearing Day to bring Hearing awareness among public regarding hearing screening in Neonates, avoiding noise exposure, preventable hearing loss, treatment facilities available in the dept. of E.N.T , G.T.V.M.C&H.

NPPCD (National Program for Prevention and Control of Deafness) training for ASHA, CDPO,VHN, ANM and AWS Grade I & II at E.N.T dept. over a period of 25 days, in batches of  20 to 23 members per day to bring awareness among gross root workers regarding Neonatal hearing screening and for early referral for further treatment.

Prizes won by III M.B.B.S PART I Students in Aram 2024 – Poster presentation First Prize – written in-formed consent in various conditions.

Rare case: 1.Coin in cricopharynx – Triple coin – removed using Direct Laryngoscopy under G.A.

Tracheal Foreign body – cotton probe accidentally fallen into trachea while cleaning Tracheo – Oesophageal Prosthesis in a patient who had undergone Total Layngectomy and on Permanent Tracheostomy. F.B removed using Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy

Bronchial Foreign body – patient on Tracheostomy – metal tube, for long time tube rusted and accidentally fallen into left bronchous – F.B removed using Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy

Special achievements:

World hearing day 2022 celebration :

On 3rd March 2022 “ WORLD HEARING DAY” , we conducted quiz program among 3rd year MBBS students to bring awareness among students about importance of hearing and preventable causes of hearing.

World hearing day 2023 celebration :

NPPCD workshops for ASHA, ANM, Health workers :

Conducted 1 day workshop to bring awareness of hearing loss, neonatal hearing screening for ASHA, ANM, and other Grade III Health workers of Thiruvannamalai district in 18 batches training 540 individuals.
