Glaucoma awareness week

Glaucoma awareness week was celebrated by department of Ophthalmology from 8.3.2026 to 14.3.2026.
Under the guidance of Respected Dean Prof Dr.J.A.Jayalal M.D,Ph.D.,FRCS, department conducted various events such as poster competition, skit, awareness speech and pamplet distribution to public. The events aimed at educating the people about glaucoma and importance of earlier screening

Awareness programs

Awareness programs In view of 38th National eye donation awareness fortnight program multiple events were organized in our college. Pamphlet distribution,displaying IEC posters, rangoli competition, essay & poster competition for past few days. Today awareness meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of our DEAN. VP , RMO ,FACULTIES of other dept. MBBS and nursing students and public attended.

National Eye Donation Fortnight is celebrated from August 25th to September 8th - 2025

National Eye Donation Fortnight is celebrated from August 25th to September 8th every year. In connection to this, the Department of Ophthalmology conducted various events like Eye donation Awareness photo booth which was inaugurated on 26.08.25 by our Dean Prof. Dr.V.P.MohanGandhi M.S(Ortho), Guest lecture on Eye Banking on 3.9.25, Awareness Rally on 4.9.2025 which was flagged off by our district Collector Mr.K.Tharpagaraj I.A.S, Pbout the importance of eye donation and to inspire pledges for a blindness free future.
