CME on Mastering the art of Medical Research on 26.08.2025

Department of Community Medicine Hosts CME on “Mastering the Art of Medical Research”

The Department of Community Medicine successfully conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on “Mastering the Art of Medical Research” on August 26, 2025. Prof. Dr. V.P. Mohan Gandhi, our Honorable Dean, inaugurated the event, highlighting the significance of research in advancing medical knowledge and practice.

The CME offered a comprehensive platform for participants to enhance their research skills, learn from experts, and network with peers. The program covered a wide range of topics, including:

– Writing a research protocol
– Hands-on reference management
– Research ethics
– Study designs
– Sample size calculation
– Data analysis
– Leveraging AI in research

By covering these essential topics, the CME equipped participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in medical research.

FAMILY ADOPTION PROGRAMME (FAP):

  • A part of Curriculum in community Medicine from first MBBS to third MBBS. FAP is a learning opportunity towards community-based health care.
  • Students divided into teams for field visits.
  • Each student is allotted five families.
  • Family introduction to be done during the first visit.
  • The entire team to work under the Mentor teacher.
